A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME
A long running passion in my life has been endurance sports (running, triathlon) and hardstyle kettlebell training. During my pregnancy and subsequent postpartum return to sports, I received a lot of conflicting information and advice regarding my fitness goals. I sought out evidence-based guidance, but it was surprisingly hard to find. The frustration I felt spurred me to dive deep into the world of perinatal fitness and pelvic floor health. As a result, I’ve become a personal trainer, with expertise in pre/postnatal fitness, pelvic health, and childbirth, and I’m here to help you navigate your fitness as you journey through pregnancy and beyond.
I work with individuals on the childbearing spectrum (pre-conception through postpartum), helping them to design fitness programs to support their fitness and athletic goals as well as their core and pelvic floor health – all while managing the demands of parenthood. I am particularly passionate about supporting a return to sport and fitness while navigating core and pelvic floor dysfunction, including diastasis recti, incontinence and pelvic organic prolapse.
Outside of my roles as a trainer, an athlete, a mother and a wife, I am also a scientist, a crazy cat lady, a lover of strong coffee, good chocolate and rabid consumer of post-apocalyptic fiction.
